Founded in 1976, the university is the largest private University in North America, offering over 20 undergraduate and graduate degree programs - online and locations nationwide. They are a pioneer of many innovations that serve working students today.

Challenges

The leading educational institute was using Salesforce extensively and was dealing with a huge volume of data (nearly 600GB). The volume of the historical data was huge that basically included old Cases & Emails.
Apart from this, they also had a big chunk of Field History Data that they wanted to archive.
As the data they were dealing with were highly sensitive in nature, they were looking for an archiving solution that can take care of the security aspects.
They already had an infrastructure set with AWS Postgres to keep the archived data of their Salesforce system. So, they were looking for a solution that supports AWS.
They were also looking for a solution that can help them view the archived records using the console app.

Solutions

We implemented the solution and did the initial data migration ensuring uninterrupted business operations.
DataConnectiva, our external archiving solution for Salesforce offered structured data archiving solution and archived all the historical data including old cases, emails, and field history records into the AWS Postgres database.
By periodically archiving historical data, our solution reduced the recurring additional data storage costs and maintained CRM performance.
They were able to see all the archived records using the console app.
